UK and Europe 03 十二月 2020

Cundall’s Head of Knowledge Management, Rory Huston, has been certified as the UK’s second MCLIP Chartered Knowledge Manager by the UK Library and Information association (CILIP). Rory is the second person to be awarded the new charted status.

The Chartered Institute of Librarian and Information Professionals (CILIP) knowledge management designations of Chartered Knowledge Manager and Knowledge Management Fellow are the first in the world awarded by an independent professional body backed by a Royal Charter.

Rory was part of one of the first few cohorts to go through the process, supported his mentor Keith Wilson (formerly NBS, RIBA, and Faulkner Brown Architects).

Commenting on his chartership, Rory said:

“I’m proud to be recognised as the UKs second Chartered Knowledge Manager. Our profession is increasingly recognised for the value it can bring businesses in a fast moving, knowledge rich world, and this new certification recognises that. With offices from Brisbane to Belfast, we are utilising our knowledge at Cundall to provide the best services possible to clients, particularly in the face of the climate emergency.”

Carole O’Neil, HR & Training Partner at Cundall, said:

“Cundall has a firm commitment to developing our people, and we also strive to provide our clients with the best possible service, wherever they are in the world. We’ve invested in sharing our knowledge to make the most of the extensive insight and expertise all our staff have to offer, and we are proud that Rory has been recognised for his work in this field. We look forward to continuing this work and enhancing the knowledge we deliver on every one of our projects.”

The Knowledge Management Chartership required Rory to demonstrate his professional knowledge and skills base for knowledge management and identify areas of improvement in his role at Cundall. He was also required to consider Cundall’s mission, vision and values, and demonstrate how he could enhance his knowledge in a wider professional context.
