We are pleased to share that Mathuran Marianayagam, Principal Consultant in our Perth office, is now a Certified Energy Auditor and Certified Energy Manager, accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE®). Mathuran is the first in Australia to hold both accreditations concurrently, joining Lewis Hewton from our Adelaide office, who is a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP®).
A Certified Energy Auditor is an expert at undertaking energy efficiency assessments of building systems, occupancy patterns, operations, maintenance requirements, and code compliance to cost-effectively optimise energy performance. An energy audit is an important first step to understanding a building’s carbon footprint and helps to formulate an energy conservation strategy to reduce emissions on the pathway to carbon neutral.
With Mathuran’s recent certifications, we are delighted to see the continued learning and expansion of our Building Performance Services (BPS) team in the APAC region.
Our BPS team provides consulting advices focused on improving environmental performance and associated asset value from an operational perspective, we view each project through an operational lens. To do achieve this, we integrate a range of services and expertise to transform your building to perform to its greatest potential.
Combining our global experiences and local knowledge, Cundall’s BPS experts are delivering several projects in Australia, including the Vicinity Centres’ National Portfolio Benchmarking and Improvement Advice, Fiona Stanley Hospital Energy Audit, Workzone East Sustainability Roadmap, ISPT’s NABERS 2020 Program, and Western Australia Schools Public Private Partnership Project Performance Reporting.
