Cundall is supporting MUSE and the English Cities Fund on their £2.5 billion bid for this ground-breaking 240-acre regeneration scheme for Salford Council and University. Cundall have been appointed as the lead engineering and sustainability consultant for developing the sustainable masterplan framework. Part of our role is establishing the baseline infrastructure provision and constraints, inputting concept sustainable infrastructure solutions to help develop a masterplan that encapsulates the requirements of all the development partners.

The project masterplan objectives include being net zero carbon, resilient to climate change impacts, conserving and reusing water, eliminating waste and enhancing health and wellbeing through sustainable buildings.

Lee Leston-Jones, Partner, said "Cundall has offered multiple engineering services whilst being the main sustainability consultants for Salford Crescent. The project caters to sustainability targets set by both the Greater Manchester 5-year Environment Plan and the 2050 national Net Zero Carbon targets. This masterplan acts as a benchmark of what we expect future developments to look like."
