78-90 Colmore Row
Exemplary office retrofit of a heritage site in the heart of Birmingham’s City Centre.
Planning has been submitted to refurbish and extend 78-90 Colmore Row, a soon to be exemplar office retrofit in Birmingham city centre. Working with the architects to retain and celebrate the building’s heritage, the refurbishment will enhance its specifications and energy efficiency with new windows, fortified walls, and renewable energy sources like PV panels.
Office spaces will be upgraded, including a new floor and wellness spaces like a landscaped roof terrace and business lounge. Plans include a restaurant, café, and bar facilities, featuring design elements inspired by Birmingham’s history.
Our sustainability team focused on material recirculation, working closely with demolition consultants, product manufacturers, and the design team. It is targeting low energy usage intensity.
Daniel Floyd, Associate, commented “We are proud to be involved in this landmark project in the heart of Birmingham city centre. We've implemented a range of innovative solutions to help drive the initiative forward and achieve the vision of a truly sustainable building."
