Peter Ridge

When all the other kids at my primary school wanted to be police officers and fire fighters, I wanted to be an electrical engineer just like my dad! Fast forward a few years and I am humbled to be living my dream, and proud to be playing my part in a global, forward-thinking, engineering practice. I learnt a lot about life during my undergraduate degree, and a whole lot more academically during my master’s degree, but experience is the real key to learning and development, and I am lucky to have experienced many amazing projects in my career so far.

Technical excellence is how we can move the industry forward. Challenging what we know, how we do things, and incorporating new technologies with great engineering is how we can transition to a net zero future.

Sharing best practice and learning from others is critical to our evolution. Learning from other disciplines and sectors excites me. To paraphrase Aristotle, together we are greater than the sum of our parts.
