I've always been fascinated by vernacular architecture and ancient monuments, which sparked my passion for natural materials and understanding their capabilities. This interest, coupled with an obsession with the life cycles of materials drives my work and daily life. This passion led me to study architecture (BArch) at the University of Lincoln and then completing a Masters (MArch) at the Newcastle University. There I was able to specialise in sustainable materials and environments, allowing me to advise and advocate for low carbon and circular materials, buildings and environments in my professional career.
Creativity
I am continually pushing the boundary of our service offerings within our whole life embodied carbon and circular economy team to ensure they most benefit the client and the design team. I am a very honest and conscientious person, which allows me to be considerate of others extending to project goals and targets.
Collaboration
Working on local projects means rolling up my sleeves and getting stuck in with the day to day with the design team, advising them and clients on the balances between different sustainability considerations as well as against other wider conflicts. When collaborating on global strategies, we prioritise understanding local requirements to adjust our advice accordingly. At Cundall we ensure that our assessments are comparable and can be translated to global audiences.
