My interest in planning was first sparked during my placement year in the project management sector and studying Urban Planning and Human Geography in the US. These experiences highlighted the potential of planning to achieve holistic benefits at a local and global scale. I have a master’s degree in urban planning which helped me specialise my technical skills before coming to Cundall. Currently, I am working towards becoming a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
Excellence
Striving for excellence is a fundamental value of Cundall. I have been supported in developing my capabilities to achieve such excellence in my ongoing training to become a certified member of the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). This will help me develop professional skills in environmental impact assessments (EIA).
Collaboration
Collaboration is critical to securing planning permission for a project, and to ensure a project is delivered efficiently and is effective in function. Therefore, as planners we must communicate internally and externally to provide our clients with accurate, precise information which addresses and overcomes the challenges of each project.
