I joined the engineering world following a detour from an academic life in architecture. It wasn’t until my late teens that I became absorbed in the creative arts, after spending my childhood more interested in the sciences. I’ve always thought of building design as the perfect mix of science and art, and this is one of the reasons why I love doing what I do.
Collaboration
Whether it be our buildings’ end users, the colleagues we see daily or the clients we work for, construction is fundamentally a people focused business. It is only through honesty, trust and open collaboration with one another that we can deliver the buildings that our communities deserve.
Creativity
I absolutely love finding a problem I can’t solve. There’s nothing better than feeling you’re getting ever so slightly closer to the solution without really knowing if you’ll ever get there. Even better if you’re trying to do it as a team.
