After completing a master’s degree in Renewable Energy Enterprise and Management at Newcastle University, I discovered the scale of the impact that the built environment has on global emissions, as well as the vast potential the industry holds in terms of decarbonisation, through the adoption of sustainable design and innovative construction practices. After roles in energy management and sustainable design, I joined Cundall in October 2023. Since then, I have specialised mostly in whole life carbon, environmental impact assessments, and climate change risk assessments, enabling developments to both mitigate and adapt to the growing impacts of climate change.
Creativity
It is essential to embrace creativity and unconventional thinking to tackle challenges within a rapidly evolving industry. I enjoy the challenge of applying innovative low carbon solutions in place of traditional practices for mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
Collaboration
Working with different people across different teams and locations is one of my favourite aspects of my role. By prioritising open communication and building strong relationships, we can maximise the benefits of collaboration, enabling more diverse and forward-thinking ideas to be put into practice.
