I am a Chartered Town Planner with over 15 years’ experience gained in different public and private sector roles in England and Scotland. I take great satisfaction in contributing to the success of a diverse range of development projects across residential, mixed-use, infrastructure, educational, and industrial sectors. I am passionate about sustainable development and high-quality design; with a particular interest in how to deliver this in historic places.
Collaboration
One of the best things about being a planning consultant is working with other disciplines to secure permission for new development no matter the type, size, or location. At Cundall we have many technical experts in-house which is invaluable to finding the right solution to even the most complex of sites. This is not only great for us when managing the project, but also our clients.
Excellence
Excellence is a key value at Cundall, and I have always felt encouraged to develop my technical interests. With support from my colleagues, and personal dedication whilst working full-time, I secured a Distinction in Historic Building Conservation MA (York University) and industry recognised awards for my dissertation. In Conservation and Carbon: Adapting our Approach to our Historic Buildings and Why this Matters I advocate how built environment professionals should re-think the current approach to adapting historic buildings if substantial benefits are to be secured.
