Callum Kerr

I am Chartered structural engineer with 10 years’ experience, working on projects of all scales. I have always had a passion for learning more about embodied carbon. I am conscious that reducing it on projects I work on is the greatest impact I can have in tackling the climate emergency. I led the change of measuring embodied carbon at my previous company and I am excited to share my knowledge within Cundall’s Whole Life Carbon team.

Creativity is essential to tackle the climate emergency. This involves being open to new materials and ideas in the industry and learning from others. Cundall has a great wealth of experience and ideas to draw upon when working on projects. I enjoy working with my colleagues to learn more and apply this to future projects to promote change.

Collaboration is key to achieving any meaningful change on projects. Being part of a design team all pulling in the same direction is hugely rewarding. Collaborating with our other offices is great as we can draw on the huge knowledge pool as we push for net zero carbon design by 2030.
