I’ve always enjoyed using maths and science to solve practical problems. Spending six months on a construction site before going to the University of Cambridge opened my eyes to the challenge and satisfaction of actually building something. Having worked for Arup for 22 years, I have now been at Cundall for 10 years and am a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Designing and constructing buildings is a challenging process, and I strive to make the structural design the very best it can be. Working with a wide palette of materials and structural systems means I can use my experience to make the design as elegant and efficient as possible.

I’ve led integrated engineering teams on projects throughout the UK, Europe, USA and the Middle East. These have included landmark projects like office headquarters, cultural buildings, education projects and high-rise developments. In all of these, it’s been the people I’ve worked and collaborated with that have made the projects special.
