From an early age, I always wanted to do something with engineering. After completing my bachelor’s in electrical and electronic engineering, I explored several engineering sectors. Ultimately, the opportunity to work in the built environment and influence how London would look and function in the future excited me most. Once in the sector, I transitioned to mechanical engineering after completing a master’s in building services and have been lucky enough to work in London, Dubai, Los Angeles and Sydney.
Collaboration
Collaboration is fundamental within design teams to produce excellent quality designs. From the early days of my career, I have enjoyed bringing people together to achieve something, from leading a couple of disciplines for a small office fit-out to the hyperscale data centres with many disciplines and over 100 designers I now run in my role as design manager.
Excellence
As an engineer, I have contributed to significant projects, including super high-rise buildings in the Middle East. These projects pushed the limits of excellence at the time and required developing innovative engineering solutions. I apply the same approach to the data centre sector, working alongside my team to create solutions that improve efficiency and quality through engineering excellence.
