UK and Europe 09 十二月 2020

Cundall has been crowned winner in two categories at Constructing Excellence West Midlands awards 2020.

Cundall was recognised alongside project partners for their work on Sister Dora Skills and Simulation Suite which was awarded the Integration and Collaborative Working Award. The project involved a two-storey extension to create state-of-the-art facilities at University of Wolverhampton’s Walsall campus where Cundall provided civil, structural and geotechnical engineering. Cundall was honoured to receive the award which celebrates the core values of Constructing Excellence and its drive for positive change in construction.

Three Snowhill was awarded Building Project of the Year Award and was recognised for the outstanding outcomes it delivered for all those involved in the scheme. Cundall provided client-side design monitoring and sustainability consultancy services on the scheme.

Finally, David Brownstein, Senior Sustainability Engineer was high commended for the G4C Future Leader Award. This category celebrates individuals who drive change within the industry and are projected to become future leaders. David has been heavily involved in several of Cundall’s research programme’s; most recently he led research into climate change and how buildings adapt to the rapidly changing climate along with the risks they could pose.

Rob van Zyl, Managing Partner of Cundall’s Birmingham office commented:

"What a great year for Cundall at the Constructing Excellence awards. Two of our key projects from the region have been celebrated and one of our future leaders within the business has been recognised for his hard work within the industry.

We have worked with Ballymore for many years on the Snowhill estate and it provides an important development for Birmingham. The project team pulled together to get this scheme over the line and it would not have been possible without everyone’s hard work so congratulations to all involved."

The Sister Dora Building and Three Snowhill will go forward to the national awards taking place early 2021.
