We are pleased to announce the appointment of four new Partners to our international leadership team. The promotion of Jose Castilla in Madrid, David Rivers in London, Wojtek Stec in Warsaw, and Olga Litkovets in Dubai, brings the number of Partners in the business to 51, strengthening our existing leadership team with new Partners in key strategic markets and disciplines, and paving the way for continued global growth.
Commenting on these new additions to Cundall’s leadership, Managing Partner, Carole O’Neil, said:
“Above all, Cundall is a people-focused business, and I am so pleased to welcome Jose, Olga, David and Wojtek to our global leadership team. Over the years, these four have been instrumental in helping take our business to new heights, driving our values and strategy throughout the global business and building on the vision set by previous generations of Partners. They are all extremely talented individuals and I look forward to working alongside them to inspire our teams and continue to grow our business.
“In particular, I’d like to acknowledge Wojtek Stec and Jose Castilla, who are the first Cundall Partners to be based in mainland Europe.”
Based in Madrid, Jose Castilla joined Cundall as a graduate engineer in 2003 and impressed so much that he was quickly promoted through the ranks to become Director of Cundall España in 2007. Now, 21 years later, he has grown Cundall’s Spanish business to include 28 staff, delivering sustainability, building services, civil engineering, and fire design across all sectors. Jose has extensive experience in passive design, sustainability and building services, and is proud to have collaborated with top national and international architects on a range of high-profile projects including One Hyde Park in London, Edificio España in Madrid and Telefonica Data Centre in Alcalá de Henares.
It has been a big year for Olga Litkovets, who was promoted to lead a team of 40 as Global Director of Business Development and Marketing in mid-2023. Olga first joined Cundall Dubai in 2017 as Head of Business Development and Marketing in MENA and has since been an integral part of MENA’s leadership team, helping to solidify client relationships and grow Cundall’s profile in the region. She has also extended her influence on the wider business as chair of Cundall’s EMENA Board, helped to develop Cundall’s current business strategy, which was launched in 2022, and been instrumental in the establishment of Cundall’s business in KSA.
David Rivers joined Cundall’s Structural Engineering team in 2017. Based in London, he has worked his way up the ranks, helping to lead the team to success on a range of projects across the lifestyle, commercial and workplace sectors including, most notably, the award-winning Indoor Tennis Centre for the AELTC at Wimbledon. David is passionate about sustainability and has been helping to drive Cundall’s Zero Carbon Design 2030 ambition. He is also dedicated to helping the next generation of engineers achieve success in the industry, acting as a Reviewer and Delegated Engineer (DE) for the Institution of Civil Engineers, and is a member of the Surrey Regional Group of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
Wojtek Stec has led Cundall’s Polish business, developing both the Warsaw and Wrocław offices since 2012. He first joined the practice in London as a Senior Environmental Engineer in 2006. As a specialist in low-carbon engineering, Wojtek possesses in-depth knowledge of natural ventilation, passive design and computational fluid dynamics. He leads Cundall’s R&D initiative playing a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence within the practice. Wojtek oversees a team of over 70 professionals delivering sustainability, building services, civil engineering, security, structural engineering, and BIM services across all sectors. He has helped deliver Cundall projects across the globe including Moorgate Station in London, CPK airport in Poland, and hyperscale data centres in Singapore and Sweden for large tech clients.
Cundall operates as a UK-registered Limited Liability Partnership wholly owned by the Partners – all of whom have a hands-on role in the management of the business and the projects they are commissioned to deliver.
