Critical systems partners secure industry titles

Barbara Sacha and Malcolm Howe, Partners in the critical systems team, have both celebrated key industry awards. Barbara Sacha has been included in the Women in Engineering Society’s (WES) Top 50 Women in Engineering. Malcolm Howe won Electrical Review & Data Centre Review’s Lifetime Achievement Award and was a finalist in the Data Centre Solution’s Industry Contribution of the Year award.

The Women in Engineering Society is a UK-based, professional society and networking body for women engineers, scientists, and technologists. It was the first professional body set up for women working in all areas of engineering. Barbara Sacha said on her award win, “I am honoured to be included in the Women in Engineering Society’s Top 50 Women in Engineering. Promoting diversity in our field has been a huge priority of mine and has inspired me to work to establish FWD – Forum for Women in Data Centres. It’s great to see the industry recognise this.”

Electrical Review & Data Centre Review’s Excellence Awards recognise, the outstanding achievements within the electrical and data centre industries. They celebrate the companies and individuals shaping each sector and championing the highest environmental, safety, and energy efficiency standards. The awards recognised Malcolm Howe as someone who has pushed the industry forward over his entire career, particularly highlighting his work on sustainable engineering and data centre design as key contributors to his award win.

The whole critical systems team were also highly commended during the DataCloud Global Congress Awards in Cannes for their ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion. Alec Stewart, Gosia Cebula, and Barbara Smitten accepted the recognition on behalf of the team.
