Our values include collaboration and integrity - giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. We have been Corporate Patrons of the UK’s construction industry charity, CRASH, for the last 7 years. CRASH delivers a meaningful social impact to communities across the UK by helping homelessness charities and hospices with vital construction projects.
As stressed by our Global Managing Partner Carole O’Neil, “I have always aimed for excellence in everything that I do, be that work, sport, or other activities, and I hope that my time as Managing Partner of Cundall will be a reflection of my commitment to making our practice one that the next generation will be proud of.” As part of this commitment to our values, staff from all our offices regularly take part in community and volunteering activities, such as supporting local incentives or designing for our charity partner CRASH.
As part of our support for CRASH, Cundall provided donations and professional expertise 33 homelessness and hospice projects totalling £12,870 between July 2021 and June 2022. This included £9,500 of corporate donations and £3370 of professional expertise.
We provided £74,220 of support to Caritas Anchor House (CAH), a homelessness charity based in the London Borough of Newham, which has the highest levels of homelessness in the country. A beacon of hope in the community, CAH helps over 200 people a year to turn their lives around providing accommodation and life-skills support for single homeless adults.
Rennie Grove Hospice Care also received £201,389 of support. Rennie Grove Hospice Care is based in Hertfordshire and provides care and support for patients, diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. This care includes medical care, treatments, occupational therapies, counselling, and emotional support.
This year Cundall won Corporate Patrons of the Year at the CRASH awards for donating the most professional expertise. Several members from our team have volunteered their time to give back to the community by providing pro bono expertise to their projects for the homeless.
