A new constellation of star ratings for Cundall APAC clients

Australia 06 四月 2022

Clever thinking, collaboration and diligence have their rewards – in the case of Salta Properties, Stockland and Frasers Property Australia that has arrived in the form of certified sustainability ratings achievements.

In March this year, official confirmation arrived that Stockland’s Melbourne Head Office at Rialto Towers has achieved a world-leading 6 Star Green Star Interiors v1.2 and Frasers Properties' multi award-winning Burwood Brickworks retail centre has been awarded world-leading 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built v1.1 by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).

In addition, Salta’s all-electric 631 Springvale Road has been awarded a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built v.1.2 rating and a 1 Star Fitwel rating.

Springvale Road is the first Australian Multi-Tenant Base Building project to achieve the Fitwel certification, says Cundall Melbourne Sustainability Consultant, Amy Banks.

“Achieving these ratings reflects a genuine commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes in relation to both environmental performance and the wellbeing of people and communities,” Amy says. “These outcomes are the result of close collaboration between the clients, the consultants, and every member of the project delivery team. It is a genuine pleasure to work in partnership with everyone involved to help create places that will have a positive effect on the people who work there and the wider community.”

“The outcomes of these projects show the wider Australian development industry that net zero is not a distant prospect – the right design and delivery decisions can make it extremely practical and achievable, starting right here and now.”

These projects also represent the future of our built environment. Both Springvale Road and Brickworks have been designed and delivered as all-electric properties with integrated on-site renewable energy supply. This has coincided with the recent launch of The Electrification Guide for New Buildings, authored by Cundall and the Green Building Council of Australia.
