Hosted in our Manchester office by authors and collaborators of the standard, the event briefing will cover the emerging carbon assessment method making its way towards becoming part of UK national building regulations.

It will give an overview of key changes and how they align with current and upcoming legislations, looking at all building and infrastructure types (including new build, retrofit, and fit-out).

Lee Leston Jones
, Structural Engineering Partner, will introduce an overview of the updated methodology as well as outline Life Cycle Module A – carbon emissions and removals from any activities necessary to complete asset construction.

Kim Gault, Principal Sustainability Consultant, will explain modules B, C, and D of the life cycle; looking at in-use carbon, ‘end of life’ impact, and potential benefits and loads beyond the system boundary.

David Everington, Sustainability Associate, will cover whole life carbon and its importance, and case studies where it had a huge impact.
