Digital material passports - EchoPanel®
EchoPanel® is the original acoustic panel, patented and launched by Woven Image in 2004. Depending on acoustic requirements, EchoPanel® is available in 7mm, 12mm and 24mm thicknesses. Made using a minimum 60% post-consumer recycled PET plastic bottles, EchoPanel® is a superior upcycled product for the built environment. It is lightweight, pinnable, printable, easy to cut and install, making it ideal for application as a wall panel, ceiling baffle, partition and workstation screen. The EchoPanel® extensive colour palette is continually refreshed based on predications and trends in the architecture and design industry.
The popular EchoPanel® precision cut acoustic panels are available in 12mm or 24mm thickness. Longitude, Latitude and Meridian are reminiscent of wood panelling. Ohm and Palace showcase curved linework inspired by the ebb and flow of sound waves and art deco themes, respectively. As decorative acoustic panels, they serve occupants in workplace, education and hospitality interiors, providing visual appeal, texture and acoustic comfort through their sound absorption properties.
EchoPanel® boasts an impressive range of sustainable credentials. It achieves Global GreenTag™ certification (GreenRate Level A), with the maximum Product Health Declaration™ Platinum Health. They are Red List Free, with low VOC emissions and have published ingredient transparency with Declare. It boasts an impressive Environmental Product Declaration that are recognised by International Green Building Tools including BREEAM®, LEED®, GreenStar® and WELL™, helping specifiers to source stringently tested sustainable products.
In 2023, EchoPanel® achieved certification as a Carbon Neutral Product by Climate Active. The certification covers all 7mm, 12mm, 24mm and precision cut panels. Climate Active is a government-backed voluntary initiative providing a rigorous, transparent and science-based way to measure, reduce and offset carbon emissions. Through this partnership, partnerships with Greenfleet and South Pole, plus operational investments in renewable solar energy, Woven Image have neutralised EchoPanel® portfolio’s carbon emissions from cradle-to-gate, including international distribution.

What is a digital material passport?
A material passport is a digital document listing all the materials that are included in a product or construction during its life cycle in order to facilitate circularity decisions in supply chain management at the end of the building life.
At Cundall, we want to create a passport to materials/products that will also provide information before its use so designers and contractors are capable of making conscious decisions of products that could affect the embodied carbon and health well-being of a project, facilitating the inclusion of the best low carbon and/ healthy materials that align with their design.
