Guo Fu Lou

Guo Fu Lou, located at the pavilion of The Murray, is a renowned Michelin-starred restaurant. The base building is a five-star hotel as well as a high-profile preservation project led by Foster + Partners. This modern and boutique Cantonese restaurant engaged Cundall to provide bespoke lighting design for the restaurant’s dining area, podium bar, bathroom, and staircase.

Our lighting team created an innovative Bluetooth-enabled lighting design with pre-set lighting configurations created by our team. This allows the client to fully control brightness and position using a user-friendly mobile app to create the required lighting mood. Our lighting experts also implemented unique lighting effects surrounding the Chinese-style wall decor along the staircase to enhance the interior decoration, creating a one-of-a-kind illumination experience.

Working closely with the client and award-winning interior designer AFSO, our experts provided lighting design consultancy services to Guo Fu Lou. We focused on maximising the adaptability of the lights while maintaining its user-friendliness. As a result, our lighting design enables the client to seamlessly shift between different lighting effects for different occasions simply using a mobile app.
