  • The building was a former warehouse situated on the corner of Arne Street and Dryden Street, Covent Garden. The project involved refurbishment of the grade II listed building, to provide a commercial D1 unit split over ground floor and basement and four apartments over floors 1-2 plus a penthouse apartment with a rooftop terrace.

  • An exclusive 55,000m2 boutique hotel and villa development located on a disconnected island off the Dubai coastline. It is directly adjacent to The Palm Jumeirah. Zabeel Properties's objective was to develop a sustainable resort that offered luxury and privacy for its guests. The scheme was developed to a level of sustainability equivalent to USGBC LEED GOLD standard.

The plot sizes and public open space are designed to create a village centre and the dwellings will be designed to define and enclose attractive streets and lanes.

Hartford Hall Estate

  • Hartford Hall is a Grade II listed building. In 1998, the new owners wanted to renovate the Hall and outbuildings and convert them back to residential use, initially with the addition of 47 new-build properties. This concept is called 'enabling development'; it effectively overrides certain restrictive planning policies and allows the restoration exercise to be subsidised by the new development.

  • Cundall was appointed alongside a_a&d architects to provide environmental optimisation for a countryside villa in the famous Huangshan Mountain area. Works included thermal comfort, energy consumption and renewable energy cost-benefit analysis.
