Chengdu Creative Centre

Chengdu, China

  • The Chengdu Creative Centre is a 400MU (approx. 270,000m²) mixed used retail, residential, commercial and lifestyle hub located south of Chengdu outside the third ring. The masterplan features a range of sustainable planning strategies including an energy centre, district systems and lake heat rejection.

Colosseum Shopping Centre

Bucharest, Romania

  • Cundall was employed to review the infrastructure design for Phase 1 of the Colosseum shopping centre development in North West Bucharest. This involved the delivery of 53,000m² of large-scale stores like Carrefour, Leroy Merlin and Decathlon.

Da Zhongli

Shanghai, China

  • Cundall was appointed by Swire Properties to supply the sustainability design for this 300,000m² mixed use development, consisting of a retail mall, two office towers and three hotels. A high performance façade design was proposed, with an integrated central plant utilising waste heat recovery. A site-wide water collection and recycling strategy is also being developed to significantly exceed LEED requirements.

    The development is targeting a LEED 'Gold' rating.

DFS Energy Monitoring System

  • Cundall has been involved to project manage and provide technical support to enable the implementation of a global energy monitoring system for DFS. The initial roll-out to four major sites in 2013 was expanded to a wider roll-out in 2015.

  • Duty Free Stores (DFS) is a luxury retailer catering to the travelling public around the world.  Cundall was engaged by DFS to provide energy audits for Gallerias in the Asia Pacific region, including Guam, Saipan, Okinawa, Singapore, Sydney, Cairns, Hong Kong and Macau.
