Toffee Factory Incubation Units

Newcastle, United Kingdom

  • The restoration and redevelopment of a Victorian factory building, damaged by fire in the mid 1980’s and left derelict for 20 years. Part of the wider regeneration of the Ouseburn area of Newcastle, the building now provides modern facilities for the creative industry. The building achieved a BREEAM 'Very Good' standard.

Redcar, United Kingdom

  • The Tuned In! Centre is a facility for young people, which has a recording studio, dance studio, media suite, performance hall and an advice facility. Cundall was appointed to provide engineering design services to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ facility. The facility can be accessed by young people in the area aged 11 to 18 years old. The Tuned In @ myplace building is built on a ‘brown field’ site, in an area known as the Coatham Enclosure.

Two Snowhill

Birmingham, United Kingdom

  • The Snowhill development is a mixed-use development by Ballymore and Hines between Snowhill Queensway and Birmingham Snowhill station. The £500m phased scheme has been partly completed on the site of a former surface car park. This second phase consists of the construction of a 15-storey, 75m high office and retail building, providing over 30,000m² of net lettable office floor area with basement levels providing 146 car parking spaces and 100 cycle spaces. There is a main core, which contains six passenger lifts, and a second core with four lifts rising to level six.

UK Green Building Council

  • The UK Green Building Council’s (UK-GBC) mission is to radically improve the health and wellbeing of their working environment in a highly sustainable manner. The organisation refurbished its headquarters in London, with a design team drawn from its membership and the aim of challenging industry thinking as to what is achievable in a small scale fit-out.

Waterbank Precinct

Perth, WA, Australia

  • Cundall is currently working on the Green Star Communities PILOT rating for the 6 hectare Waterbank Precinct Development site in Perth.

Waverley Court, City of Edinburgh Council Headquarters

Edinburgh, United Kingdom

  • Waverley Court, the headquarters for The City of Edinburgh Council, was procured as a commercially let development. The key objective was to create a landmark building which would demonstrate environmental excellence in all aspects of design and function, with exceptional levels of accessibility. The building achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating due to the combined efforts of the design and construction team.

Wellcome Trust, Cornerstone project

London, United Kingdom

  • Cundall was appointed on the Wellcome Trust Cornerstone project to provide low-energy building services and environmental designs for its new 28,000m2 flagship headquarters in central London. The building's striking appearance is in part due to the extensive glazing and the fact that only the western façade has a solar control coating; all other facades have low-emissivity (low-e) glazing. This has resulted in highly transparent facades and good daylighting without compromising occupant comfort.

Westfield Sydney City

Sydney, NSW, Australia

  • Westfield Sydney is one of Australia’s largest sustainable mixed-use developments. It incorporates a new office tower, refurbishment of office space and the amalgamation of three existing shopping centres.

Wheelock Place, T Rowe Price

Singapore, Singapore

  • Cundall provided MEP services for the fit-out for T Rowe Price, a private US financial company in Singapore, this followed the successful delivery of the client’s London office. 

WPP, 24-28 Bloomsbury Way

London, United Kingdom

  • 24 - 28 Bloomsbury Way is occupied by a number of WPP companies (Millward Brown, Kinetic, Group M, Firefly) who all have a diverse range of fit-out requirements within the 4,000m2 space and the need to capture them at an early stage was integral to providing a seamless transition from Cat A to Cat B.
