Mann Island

Liverpool, United Kingdom

  • Mann Island comprises two apartment blocks, providing 376 residences, a 13-storey BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Grade A offices, a new primary sub-station building and a 2-storey basement car park.

Manor Walks

Cramlington, United Kingdom

  • The first phase of the development comprises the provision of a new nine screen multiplex cinema together with six restaurant outlets. The project included significant ground works to deal with mine workings for which Cundall provided geotechnical advice.

MOD Larkhill

Salisbury, United Kingdom

  • Located in Salisbury Plain Training Area, the MOD site is the British Army’s largest national training area, which comes with its own complexities due to its proximity to the Stonehenge World Heritage site. As part of the Ministry of Defence Army Basing programme, the Larkhill site was identified to relocate Army units from Germany and provide 540 new homes by 2020.

Moneypenny

London, United Kingdom

  • Cundall was appointed to work alongside AEW Architects to develop the new £15m headquarters for Wrexham based company Moneypenny.

Monklands Hospital

Airdrie, United Kingdom

  • Cundall provided multi-disciplinary services at Monklands Hospital including refurbishment of the existing operating theatre suites and development of the new Intensive Care Unit. Working in a live hospital environment, with a key client requirement to keep six of the seven theatres up-and-running at any one time to maintain the existing theatre capacity, meant that detailed consideration had to be given to the phasing.

Mossley Hill Church

Liverpool, United Kingdom

  • Cundall's lighting design team was commissioned by Mossley Hill Church to design and detail a new lighting installation for the refurbishment of their chapel. The brief was to deliver a scheme which offered a variety of lighting scenes to suit the multiple uses of the space. The parishioners use the space for prayer meetings, readings, group discussion, sewing and stitching banners. The lighting design was to also deliver significant energy savings to the church.

National Grid Car Park

Warwick, United Kingdom

  • Cundall was appointed as lead designers for the new three storey, 438-space car park for National Grid’s Warwick Headquarters which includes one of the largest Green Wall in Europe and the fourth in the world. With more than  97,000 ecological plants and over 20 different species, it is tailored to attract bees and butterflies, absorb carbon dioxide and filter rain whilst creating an aesthetically pleasing view from the historic Warwick Castle. 

New Riverside, Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury, United Kingdom

  • The historic town centre of Shrewsbury suffers from having three disconnected shopping centres in close proximity, each serving people in isolation and at differing levels. The town has therefore lost much of its focus for the local community and shoppers. The new development will join and link two existing and separate malls, creating a combined centre.

New Street Square

London, United Kingdom

  • New Street Square consists of four new office buildings of different heights and sizes and a separate facilities management suite, along with a new public square surrounded by restaurants and cafes. The 100,000m2 iconic development is located on New Fetter Lane between Fleet Street and High Holborn in central London, and ranges up to 19-storeys in height.

NOMA Earth Tubes Lighting

SALFORD, United Kingdom

  • Cundall Light4 was appointed by The Co-operative and Hermes to provide the lighting design for the three earth tubes adjacent to the new Co-operative Group office at 1 Angel Square in Manchester.

    The earth tubes are part of the air intakes natural ventilation system that draws through 50,000 litres of air per second.
