Valeria Riso

I joined Cundall in 2019 and have nearly 20 years’ experience in the transportation sector. I am a Chartered Civil Engineer and I have a master’s degree (Hons) in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Transportation, complemented by a master’s in Project Management. I chose to specialise in transportation as I have always been fascinated by how people move and how travel patterns keep changing. My vast experience in development planning, traffic engineering, junction modelling and microsimulation and crowd modelling allows me to fully understand clients’ requirements. I am a keen promoter of sustainable transport and travel solutions both in and outside of work.

I share Cundall’s drive to make every project outstanding and better than the last one. I am a firm believer of the importance of continual self-improvement through training and knowledge sharing. Even if you feel you have done it all, there is always something else you can learn. As testimony to that, I am currently halfway through an MBA.

I believe that collaboration is the key to success. By taking the time to understand what everyone has to say, you create an environment where everyone feels appreciated and trusted. This helps build strong relationships that not only benefit the team and the project, but also improves the quality of life for the people involved.
