I have always had a passion for engineering and at 15, discovered the built environment industry. I have gained experience through working and studying (including an apprenticeship) and two years training in Japan with an air conditioning manufacturer. Since 2006, I have focused on building physics and sustainability with Cundall. I am proud to have achieved a Well Building Standard Gold rating for the Birmingham Office.
Collaboration with teams
The sustainability team relies on collaboration. It is a global team with many individuals who are leaders in the low carbon/sustainable design field. Collaboration has given me an opportunity to learn about their skills and gain a greater depth of knowledge, all to the benefit of the projects I work on.
Engineering Excellence
Excellence is essential. It makes you feel good when you know the project has benefited from excellence. For the sustainability team, this is about having a significant impact on the people who occupy the buildings we design.
