From a young age, I loved fixing things and was drawn to cycling, cars, and boats. This led me to pursue an education in engineering before landing my first job in data centre design in 2010. The scale, precision, and technicality of these buildings attracted me, and the adaption of cooling systems and further scaling with progression in computing over the years have kept me engaged.
Collaboration
I work across projects in the mechanical team within the critical systems team, helping engineers take on new challenges, ensuring alignment across offices and projects, and maintaining flexibility in our approach. I review projects when they come in for enquiry early in the program to remove significant hurdles the team might uncover.
Excellence
Cundall's commitment to excellence is epitomised by our work on cooling systems. Working on pioneering waste heat recovery data centres, we learned and implemented similar solutions for other clients' buildings. We strived for this excellence and reduced the impact on the client, ensuring the building could operate standalone without gifting any heat.
