Darnell Fox

I studied Mechanical Engineering and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Technologies at Northumbria University. Upon graduation, I joined Cundall as a Graduate Sustainability and Building Physics engineer. My primary focus has been, mostly, on office buildings where I assess their operational energy, performance factors such as daylight and thermal comfort, and ensure building compliance. Apart from my engineering role, I am an active member of Manchester office's NextGen group which allows me to expand on my networking and business development skills.

Each project is different presenting unique challenges, and valuable lessons emerge from each one. I find satisfaction in leveraging on accumulated experience and knowledge, applying it to novel challenges and projects, contributing to the creation of the most sustainable building possible for our clients.

I enjoy working with the different teams within Cundall to achieve a common goal, crafting outstanding buildings for their users. As part of the sustainability team, I engage with varying design teams which all impact the sustainability of the building – this involves ongoing communication with different disciplines, key to develop a better understanding of their design approaches.
