Double success at the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) for our acoustic consultancy team; FORA Bankside won the Sustainability award and was Highly Commended for Education & Office Buildings category.

The ANC Awards recognise excellence among acoustic consultants and puts the spotlight on projects that display innovation and originality in acoustic design or approach.

FORA Bankside is a great example of innovation and retrofit, and its success was made possible through great collaboration between the design team and the client. For this project, our acoustics team worked closely with the architects and other designers to re-use and re-purpose finishes from the previous fit-out into a design that better reflected the client’s brand. The result was a visually beautiful and acoustically fantastic space that exhibited the true spirit of circularity. Key elements re-used were timber perforated ceiling panels made into rafts, and glass block walls re-deployed as meeting room partitions. The impact of this was a saving of 9.6 tonnes of embodied carbon.
