Cundall has been appointed to provide all areas of engineering expertise to assist with the delivery of the new Kingston Leisure and Community Building, one of the largest and most significant leisure facilities planned for development in the UK.

This project forms part of Kingston Council's Transform Programme which aims to revitalise the historic town centre and celebrate its rich heritage to make it better for residents, local businesses, students and visitors. The local economy will be diversified beyond retail and ignite a vibrant leisure and cultural scene.

The new, state-of-the-art building will deliver a very wide range of leisure, sport and community facilities and is to include, among others, two swimming pools; a hall for teams sports; four squash courts; an open rooftop space for yoga and pilates; rooftop five-a-side football pitches; a gym and exercise studios; a climbing wall in the entrance and an enhanced outdoor playground.

This will be a true community space, meeting a wide range of local needs. The planning application was recently submitted and we now look forward to working on project delivery.
