We are pleased to announce Dr Olli Jones has been appointed as the new chair of the Constructing Excellence North East’s Climate Action Group.

The group was established in March 2021, where they have successfully reviewed guidance, commitments and shaped legalisation on a national level. The Climate Action Group gathers professionals from business including AECOM, Equans, Esh Group, Gleeds, Green Leaf Engineering, RE:GEN Group, Ryder Architecture, Sir Robert McAlpine, Newcastle University, Northumbria University, Believe Housing and Thirteen Group, to collaborate and discuss how to achieve a sustainable future.

Dr Olli Jones commented “The aim of the group is to drive engagement and show genuine leadership within the built environment that can help set an example nationally, supporting companies and individuals from all areas of the construction sector realise a more sustainable future for people, communities and the planet.”
