Cundall is celebrating the 20^th anniversary of the opening of its office in Manchester.

Cundall’s Manchester office was established in October 2004 by Partner, Paul Kenyon, and originally located in John Dalton House, currently the Yotel on Deansgate. To begin with, the team focused on providing building services but within a few months the number of capabilities grew to include a dedicated BIM manager and structural and civil engineering.

Within the year, Cundall out-grew its office and moved into larger premises in Portland Tower, Portland Street. The new office accommodated Cundall’s growth ambitions, and the team were joined by specialists in Lift, Lighting, Fire, Acoustics and Security Engineering. The team continued to secure prestigious opportunities and successfully delivered a range of projects across the north west of England, including a large disaster recovery facility for printing passports, a Police forensic science training building, six schools for the Bassetlaw Building Schools for the Future programme and residential and commercial buildings for the Mann Island development in Liverpool.

During the past 20 years, the Manchester office has contributed towards several high-profile projects across the region, the UK and further afield. More recently, the team has celebrated accolades for the Copperas Hill Student Life and Sports Building at Liverpool John Moore’s University, the Daphne Steel Building for Human & Health Science at Huddersfield University, Stockport Council’s office refurbishment of Stopford House and Eden at the New Bailey corporate centre in Manchester.

In late September, Cundall celebrated 20 years of achievement in Manchester with clients and industry partners at the Townhouse Hotel on King Street, and with employees at Catton Hall in Frodsham.
