We are thrilled to announce that Bianca Spoeala, Senior Marketing & Business Development Executive will be the British Council for Offices (BCO) NextGen North Chair. This is a significant achievement, which showcases Bianca’s knowledge and commitment to supporting the workplace sector.

BCO NextGen is the UK's only multi-disciplinary membership organisation for offices providing its 3,000 members and non-members the opportunity to share ideas, develop their sector knowledge and build networks with like-minded professionals. Bianca has been part of the North committee since 2022, working closely with the main stakeholders in organising and hosting various workplace events across the North of England for the next generation of built environment professionals.

Her passion for supporting the next generation stems from launching a NextGen initiative within Cundall’s Manchester office and acting as a lead and mentor to the group. In this role, Bianca has organised events and seminars that cover key topics for the industry including sustainability in the workplace sector, energy performance and spaces that focus on staff health and wellbeing. She also hosted a podcast about Eden, New Bailey, the UK's first new build building to achieve a 5.5 NABERS ‘Design Reviewed’ Target Rating.

Bianca is succeeding Amy Leech, Project Director at TP Bennett, who has held the role for the previous two years . The duo have been instrumental in raising BCO’s brand across the North region and creating a community.

Commenting on her new role for the BCO, Bianca said, ‘Taking over this position means a lot to me and I am ready to expand on and facilitate opportunities for the next generation of professionals in the workplace sector. My focus this year is to work closely with the rest of the committee and organise an array of events that have the BCO’s themes in mind and also empower our members and future members to design innovative, sustainable offices. I am looking forward to continuing Amy’s legacy and to learn even more about the workplace sector.’
