The Team
Cundall's Vertical Transportation team offers a full range of consultancy services, and has extensive knowledge and experience in the design, modernisation, installation and maintenance of all types of lifts, escalators and moving walkways.
The team provide consultancy services to clients both independently and as part of a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary offering on larger projects. Our service covers a wide range of sectors, within which we provide surveys, specifications, project management, witness testing through to whole life cycle planning and costing facilities management.
The Role
Further to continuing success and growth, the team is now ready to add a Senior/Principal VT Consultant who can bring a wealth of experience to our existing team of VT specialists. The Consultant will take responsibility for the vertical transportation input into a wide range of built environment engineering projects, working closely with VT colleagues in the UK, and engineers of other disciplines.
As a lead source of expertise, you will be required to attend and input at design meetings and provide clear advice to clients, architects and engineers (internal and external) on design issues relating to new systems, refurbishment and maintenance works.
The technical duties will include undertaking surveys, site audits, design & specification of lift and escalator systems, Lift Traffic Analysis, tender evaluation, review of drawings, on-site progress monitoring, and final inspection of completed works.
The Skills
Having strong skills and experience in the field of lift engineering, ideally coupled with being degree qualified in a STEM subject.
With relevant experience in a lift consultancy or lift manufacturer, consideration will be given to candidates who are working for a lift contractor in a technical, project management, or customer facing role, and also have the requisite technical knowledge to operate in the consultancy field.
Possessing strong technical experience and expertise in the design, commissioning, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of lifts and escalators.
The ability to communicate well in writing is a key requirement
You also possess proven experience of providing your expert insight to internal team members and third parties, including clients, contractors and architects.
