The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused Mechanical Engineering expert to join our Melbourne office. As part of the Senior Team and under our Partner/Director, the Associate will take responsibility for all aspects of leading the Mechanical team, the operational delivery of projects, the management of project teams, the management of client relationships, client/business development as well as to play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative design solutions for some of the exciting building projects in Australia and around the region.

Working across a variety of sectors such as Education, Commercial, Retail and Critical Systems, you will manage and control financial aspects of projects and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.

You will be an expert in mechanical design and engineering and across Building Services and be part of a global skills community for sharing knowledge, projects and your specific expertise. 

You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and lead our group of multi-disciplinary engineers in the Mechanical, Hydraulics/Fire and BIM department.

The Skills

A Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, you have gained vast experience within a building services context.

Ideally you will also have vast experience in a data centre/critical systems field. You also possess a strong understanding of low energy design and have proven your technical expertise in the relevant design software.

In your most recent position, you would have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and teams to deliver to, and exceed client expectations, and crucially you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.

Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication and project management skills are essential. Regional or international experience would be an added advantage.
