Appointed by eShopWorld to design the M&E services for three fit outs for Level 2 and 3 in their Head office in Airside and Broadmeadow office over various dates between 2017 and 2019 due to the companies rapid expansion.

Cundall have engaged in these projects in an agile way providing a scaleable team to meet the short notice design requirements following the business sign off on delivering each of the projects. This has been managed by Cundall to provide a seamless delivery of scheme designs within budget and delivered to a very aggressive project timeframe. Each of the three individual fit outs comprised open work areas, private offices and conference facilities which were fitted out to a high quality to a reflect the global brands reputation and culture. Meeting rooms have been designed to create a welcoming environment for clients, while ensuring confidentiality. IT and AV facilities enable the office to communicate seamlessly with their  other offices around the world. A server room has been designed for resilience, efficiency and flexibility.

We provided detailed and coordinated mechanical, electrical and public health design as well as further design work associated with providing revised desk layouts, and additional meeting rooms and toilets, to cater for increased occupancy at this very fast growing global ecommerce company. The lighting design utilises daylight linking technology to automatically dim artificial light when natural daylight is sufficient. This reduces the amount of energy required for lighting and reduces unwanted heat gain to the internal spaces. Where appropriate, rooms are fitted with occupancy-sensing light controls. Lights switch off when no occupants are in the room, greatly reducing energy wastage. The floor plates were fully air-conditioned throughout with the BMS automatically ramping down or switching off specific areas and offices during periods of low or zero occupancy.

We worked in conjunction with the project QS and PM and took the lead role in identifying appropriate budgets for the M&E systems. We employed value engineering to avoid overdesign of services systems. Cundall engaged with the all the project stakeholders to provide advice and support on a weekly basis.
