24 - 28 Bloomsbury Way is occupied by a number of WPP companies (Millward Brown, Kinetic, Group M, Firefly) who all have a diverse range of fit-out requirements within the 4,000m2 space and the need to capture them at an early stage was integral to providing a seamless transition from Cat A to Cat B.
This project comprises the redevelopment of the site to institutional standards, whilst capturing the business needs of Millward Brown. This included a complicated restacking exercise which was carried out in a phased approach
Millward Brown also remained in occupation throughout the works, so the introduction of a phased strategy to allow continuity of ‘business as usual’ was imperative to the development strategy.
Phase one consisted of the introduction of the buildings engineering infrastructure and creation of the new plant enclosure at roof level. In parallel, new core services were introduced and adapted throughout ready-made core areas for extension under phase 2 works of the works.
The project has successfully turned the constraints associated with retaining an ageing structure into an opportunity for creating an environment where internal well-being and space efficiency are rewarded.
Cundall Specialist teams helped drive through the acoustic detailing associated with the edit suites, along with the integration of the IT and audio visual software and hardware in conjunction with Millward Browns internal IT team.
Cundall provided building services and fit-out to turn this early 20th century warehouse into flexible office suites which are capable of being let as small, individual units, or combined to allow larger open plan spaces to be utilised, or on a floor by floor basis.
Grey Global currently occupies the 6000m2 office space within the newly refurbished Johnson Building.
