Pernod Ricard is the world co-leader in international wine & spirits industry group. As part of their business requirement, Pernod Ricard UK wanted somewhere prestigious and connected to the company strategy to shape the nation’s drinking experiences. Chiswick Park was chosen for its premium location and facilities.

Pernod Ricard UK is currently occupying the second and third floors of building No.12 within Chiswick Park. The 40,000 ft2 space includes high spec conference amenities, open plan offices, reception, bar area and other facilities as a testing room, shop, showers and kitchenettes.

Integration into the existing building’s base build systems was efficiently achieved. Many of the existing services were retained or recycled and combined with new and relocated devices to offer an integrated solution. Such was the case for the lighting system where existing luminaires were retained and areas enhanced with feature type light fittings.

The project included acoustic measures to capture the requirements of each individual area. Ventilation throughout  the office was delivered through the floor void via floor mounted diffusers with return air paths via the ceiling tiles/void.

Pernod Ricard was keen to make best use of their space through technology. Nearly all staff use laptops complete with Microsoft Lync, allowing both desk and room based collaboration through video conferencing and document sharing. A 100% coverage Wi-Fi network allows staff to roam freely in the office. Touch down areas are provided with LED screens allowing for informal meetings to develop ideas. A meeting room booking system has been installed integrated with staff e-mail/calendars and digital signage has been provided around the office including central print/copy areas.

The office is used extensively for client entertaining, features include a tasting experience and bar. The audio visual facilities have been designed and integrated into the interior architecture, providing a high-quality finish. The AV systems allow for video/audio to be distributed to multi-areas for entertaining/branding purposes.

Along with the building services designs, Cundall delivered a full range of engineering solutions.

  • Feasibility study and detailed surveys of existing building services
  • Validations of existing Cat A systems
  • Structural design for wine racking stores and comms rooms
  • Creation of new localised comms rooms, along with supporting UPS and cooling plant
  • Specialist lighting proposals to different areas
