Cundall was appointed by ASK Property Developments to provide building services engineering, sustainable design, BREEAM, lighting design and vertical transportation for the development of a new build city centre high-end hotel for the Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels International. The 4-star, £12m new build contemporary hotel is Meliá's third hotel in the UK and the first to carry its Innside brand.

The facilities includes 208 bedroom, high-specifications spa facilities, gym, business centre, conference facilities, bar and restaurant. The 11-storey hotel sits in the heart of Manchester's most important, 20-acre, regeneration site; First Street.

First Street scheme comprises of a hotel, a multi-storey car park, high-end student apartments, commercial office, retail, leisure units and a new public square. Cundall provided design services for the development of hotel, multi-storey carpark, public realm and retail units.

The building has achieved BREEAM Excellent rating.
