Cundall is currently employed to provide MEP design and consulting services to the prestigious Here East development. Here East is a new digital quarter for London that will support the growth of the flourishing digital and creative industries.

The project entails the redevelopment of the former Media Campus at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and more specifically converts the Main Press Centre, Main Media Conference Room and International Broadcasting Centre for Legacy use.

Cundall previously designed the fit-out of the International Broadcasting Centre which accommodated more than 10,000 broadcasters, photographers and journalists during the Games. Cundall was selected for their knowledge of the site, the Broadcasting Centre in particular and for their data centre development knowledge.

The 1,000,000ft² re-development has already secured a number of major tenants including Infinity SDC who are constructing a 250,000ft² data centre, BT Sport who have been broadcasting premier league football coverage from the venue from August 2013 and Loughborough University who will establish a campus on the site.

Studio space, further broadcast studios, office space, retail and restaurants will make up the remainder of the development.

Cundall has also assisted BT Sport in the development of their resilient broadcast power systems.
