Deloitte leased a full floor of Building 3 at Emaar Square to consolidate and relocate their Dubai operations. Cundall was appointed directly by Deloitte as the MEP building services consultant for the complete design and construction phases of their 35,000ft² office fit-out project.
This included adapting an existing fitted-out area along with the complete new fit-out for the remainder of the floor. Programme and budget were of particular importance for the client which Cundall understood from the outset.
The base build VAV ventilation system required adaptation to suit the combination of open plan and cellular office space. This required detailed coordination and optimisation of the existing VAV units to minimise the financial impact.
Cundall worked closely with the architect Pringle Brandon Perkins + Will to create an interesting breakup of the ceiling scape while maintaining compliance with CIBSE lighting codes and keeping within the budget.
Detailed surveys were undertaken for the MEP of the existing areas to confirm the suitability and condition of existing areas for reuse on the project.
A major fit-out project in Shanghai, China, has been certified LEED–CI Gold by the US Green Building Council, receiving a score at the high end of the gold rating level.
Latham & Watkins occupy 12 floors within the 24 storey tower at 99 Bishopsgate. The expansion of the business resulted in a number of new floors being occupied by Latham & Watkins with the phase 1 works covering the fit-out of five floors.
