At more than 4,000ft2 the new space is twice the size of the previous office and includes space for ‘sit-stand’ desks for up to 40 people.
By knocking three office units into one, the fit-out team matched the brief of creating a welcoming open-plan environment that incorporated LEED and WELL elements such as maximised daylight and increased air quality.
The office also benefits from a number of other features that will be enjoyed by staff and clients alike. Exposed services and a reflective floor mirror the company’s values of wellbeing and sustainability, while occupancy detection and daylight dimming controls optimise energy use.
A café and breakout space will allow staff access to a pool table, 70inch tv screen and a seating area for informal meetings and events.
Meeting rooms have state-of-the-art IT & AV systems with real time Indoor Environment Qualitymonitoring and displayed on an iPad in the reception area, which also has two private phone booths incorporated into the reception wall.
A green wall divides the kitchen and reception while the plotter, photocopier and server cabinet are all housed in a self-contained room. Both contribute to creating better air quality for the open office.
All wood used in the fitout came from reclaimed timber and low VOC paint was used to finish the office throughout. LED task lighting allows individuals to control their own lighting and a centralised waste-management system allows staff to recycle their waste.
