The global headquarters of Lendlease, 30 The Bond in Sydney, is the first central business district building in Australia to have received a '5 Star' NABERS rating.

DB RREEF, owner and operator of 30 The Bond, signed Australia’s first '5 Star' commitment agreement in 2003 with the New South Wales Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability (DEUS). With the completion of the monitoring period and assessment by DEUS, the accredited rating was awarded. In 2006, 30 The Bond’s official greenhouse result was more than 20% better than the '5 Star' benchmark and about 30% better than the next best certified building in Sydney at the time.

The building contains Australia’s first widespread application of chilled beam technology, to assist in energy reduction. Cundall, as a pioneer of chilled beam technology in the UK, was engaged as mechanical peer reviewers to refine the design of the passive chilled beam system.
