Cundall and Denton Corker Marshall worked closely with Artesian to develop a new scheme to regenerate the 7-storey office building on 20 Farringdon Street.
The 42,000ft² office 1980's office building is located in a prominent location on Farringdon Road. Artesian planned to refurbish the existing building block, incorporating additional upper floors and replacing the outdated facade.
Cundall started working with Derwent London at Brunel Building from 2004, in its earliest guise. In early 2013, Derwent London entered into an option agreement with the freeholder and head leaseholder of the site, unlocking the development of approx. 240,000ft2 of commercial office space, in addition to a residential block, being developed in agreement with the head leaseholder.
The Biscuit Factory, is being developed on the site of the former Peek Frean’s Biscuit Factory which made biscuits in Bermondsey for 123 years, from 1866 until 1989 when the factory closed. The first mass producer of biscuits, it was home to baked goods like the Bourbon and the Garibaldi.
