  • Since 1922, Leinster House in Dublin has served as the parliament building of the Republic of Ireland, before which it functioned as the headquarters of the Royal Dublin Society. Leinster House was originally the ducal palace of the Dukes of Leinster. Today, the sole and exclusive power of making laws is vested in the Oireachtas, subject to the obligations of Community membership, as provided for in the Constitution.

  • The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is an iconic landmark. Built in 1690, this building has looked after veterans from the Battle of the Boyne as well as serving as the Garda Headquarters for 20 years then becoming home to the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA).

  • The opening of the Joint Services Centre will provide a heart for the community of Whitley Bay and a catalyst for the wider regeneration of the seaside resort. It will bring together a range of services delivered by North Tyneside Council and North Tyneside PCT under one roof.
