On 25 September 2018, over 150 guests joined us in our new Doha office for the launch of the first WELL registered office in Qatar.
Located on the third floor, the new office at 5,866 sq ft will accommodate foreseeable growth and bring together all disciplines into a single open plan area. The building itself has a wonderful internal well-lit atrium and high-quality restaurants that sets the scene for all visitors and staff alike.
Some of the key features of the office include:
- The Mshreibia art piece, which was recycled, is a beautiful hand-crafted partition with a biophilic finish adds culture to the main entrance, supports local art and ties in with sustainability.
- The air quality was another major consideration for the office design. All material procured and used on site has met strict VOC certification criteria of the WELL building standard®. Fresh air supply exceeded ASHRAE 62.1 by over 30%.
- Drinkable tap water. In addition to this we were able to achieve to use condensate water which is collected from the FCUs and reused to irrigate over 270 plants within the office.
Based on the office location, we have attained numerous benefits without having to make additional provisions. Some of these include outdoor biophilia, public transportation: the site considered the proximity to Bin Mahmoud train station which once open, will be in walking distance; cycling provision: the installation of bicycle rack by the landlord, coupled with shower, locker and bike repair kit means that staff can now opt to cycle in to the office as some had requested.

Overall the new office space has become a great success for providing healthy space for our people as well as an impressive and 1st of its kind office for our visitors. It has positively influenced perception of Cundall in Qatar and hopefully will lead to more success in the future.
