The Malings submitted for planning Share this article

The Malings is a contemporary residential scheme in the Ouseburn Valley in Newcastle, designed by Ash Sakula Architects

This is the first phase of a development by Carillion-Igloo as part of a framework development agreement they have with Newcastle City Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.

The development of 76 innovative houses and flats on a brownfield site running down to the River Ouseburn on the edge of Newcastle City Centre is being designed to meet Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.

The Planning Application was submitted at the beginning of October by Cundall’s Planning team, led by its Director, Ian Cansfield.

We anticipate that the scheme will be approved before the end of the year and construction is due to start before the end of March 2013.
