Following the recent decision by the Planning Inspectorate on the 27th January 2012 to approve the GLA's Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), Cundall's London Planning Consultant Juliet Heap, talks us through the potential implications.
CIL is a new charge which local authorities across England and Wales will be empowered to charge on most types of new development. Nationally, the government set out proposals to reform the Community Infrastructure Levy in the Localism Bill, which received Royal Assent in November 2011.
