Cundall is thrilled to have won the Export Award at the North East Business Awards held at Hardwick Hall in Newcastle on the 21st April 2016. The evening hosted 36 of the region’s top companies, with over 500 people in attendance.
After winning three awards at the Tyneside and Northumberland sub-regional award in March, Cundall is delighted to have been named as winners of the Export Award at the Grand Final .
The award is recognition for Cundall’s growing overseas portfolio, with 32% of its 2015 turnover coming from overseas projects. The judges remarked on the family values instilled throughout the organisation and were impressed that ‘14 Geordies are employed across 16 of the offices’.
Cundall was also shortlisted for the Let’s Grow Award and were runners up in the Company of the Year Award.
Paul Hards, Partner, commented “Being shortlisted for three awards alongside some of the region’s outstanding organisations is a testament to the hard work and commitment of everyone at Cundall. To win the Export Award, and be shortlisted for two other prestigious awards, is a fantastic achievement and something we should all be extremely proud of – well done to everyone.”
Samantha Curtis, Senior Planning Consultant who collected the award on the night, commented “I was thrilled to collect the Export Award on behalf of Cundall, having worked in both the Newcastle and the Sydney Office, I have experienced first-hand the value of building relations and have worked with some fantastic people. The successful expansion of our services overseas has been achieved organically, through secondments, staff moving around the practice and establishing international relationships.”
